Many people make this mistake, they are taking photos in every minute of the day. The best time to shoot a car will be a few minutes after sunset.
After that you must be very careful of what reflects in the car.  A car especially a new one is like a mirror. If you want to have a perfect picture then you must focus on the car. Another thing you must be careful is not to have your reflection in the photo.
Don`t forget the details. You may be tempted to spend all your time to trying to take a picture the entire car from a different angle but never forget that the most important thing is the details. You can take a picture a whole car if you look close at the details.
